DESCRIPTION

The Ascot House was originally built in 1892 by Mr W H Baxter as a traditional Victorian family residence. It has now been elegantly transformed into a 19 bedroom hotel. For home from home comfort all bedrooms have en suite bath shower trouser press Iron Ironing Board well lit desk telephone TV radio alarm hairdryer tea coffee facilities and electric blankets. The Ascot Room a cosy sitting room with open fires in the winter is the perfect place to enjoy afternoon tea or just curl up with a good book. Relax in comfort in the informal friendly atmosphere of our lounge bar or take in our sunshine on the patio balcony. Enjoy the evening in our elegant restaurant which offers traditional English and Continental dishes prepared using the finest fresh produce. Complement your meal with a bottle of wine from our well stocked cellar many imported direct for extra value. If you wish to dine with us we serve from 7pm and last orders taken at 8.15pm and we would strongly recommend you reserve a table to guarantee dining with us. PLEASE NOTE private receptions dinner parties with discos until midnight occasionally take place in the hotel particularly at weekends and in December. Guests are still welcome to use the bar lounge and have dinner in the dining room which is in a separate area of the building . Quieter bedrooms are available on request. Breath taking gardens and floral displays have earned Harrogate wide acclaim and the traditional Turkish baths and Royal Pump Room Museum are well worth a visit. You will find some of the best shopping in Yorkshire together with lively restaurants wine bars night clubs and theatres. A wealth of attractions including stately homes and historic castles lie within a short drive together with the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors.

BY ROAD From the south by M1 through Leeds or via Wetherby using the A1 or M1 A1 link road. From the North by A1 through Ripon. From the east and west by A59 Skipton to York road. BY RAIL Regular services from Harrogate station connect with inter city stations at Leeds and York. BY AIR Leeds Bradford airport 11 miles 18km. Manchester airport 70 miles 110km.
