The nearest town is Barrow in Furness 4 miles with Ulverston in the other direction along the Coast Rd 8 miles . Consequently there is easy access to the Lake District via the stunning coast road.

Junction 36 M6. Follow the road signposted Barrow. At Ulverston take the Coast Road signposted Bardsea. Travel 8 miles to roundabout Rampside . Take 1st exit and travel over causeway to water's edge. On left is Roa Island House next to Bosuns Locker |
