DESCRIPTION |
The Station Hotel offers a warm friendly atmosphere. Set in the heart of the Midlands the Hotel is easily accessible from Junction 2 of the M5 which is only five minutes drive away. The Station Hotel is the ideal venue for a weekend in the Historic Black Country. The Black Country Museum is a couple of minutes drive away and Dudley Zoo is situated directly opposite. The lively Merry Hill Centre is also located close by offering some of the best shopping facilities in Europe. Stourbridge the centre of glass making in the uk is only 6 miles away and of course the sights and sounds of Birmingham are within easy reach. Originally built in 1910 the Station was demolished in 1936 in order to build a larger Hotel. This became particularly popular with theatrical artists playing the Hippodrome Theatre once situated opposite. Laurel Hardy Bob Hope Bing Crosby and George Formby are amongst the famous names who have stayed at the Hotel.

Leave M5 J2 take 1st left at roundabout. Take 3rd exit of 2nd roundabout proceed for 1.5 miles take 1st exit at 3rd roundabout. Carry on straight up to the next roundabout and proceed straight over to the next set of traffic lights and bear off to your left on to Trindle Road. The hotel is situated on your right. |
