The Bull Hotel has a history as a coaching inn that goes back over 500 years. Today however instead of fretful travellers changing horses our guests tend not to be in such haste. Indeed The Bull Hotel with its restful and relaxed atmosphere tends to be conducive to a longer stay and provides a unique opportunity to enjoy the lovely countryside around Halstead popular with Constable and Gainsborough. With its gently sloping floors and wealth of old beams the hotel reflects its long history though now combined with every modern convenience. Our restaurant offers an extensive menu and real ale is served in the welcoming bar. What's so special about us The 16 en suite bedrooms have recently been refurbished and all have tea and coffee making facilities. Halstead itself the name means Healthy Place is a small attractive market town. It is an ideal area for antique hunting with many antique shops in the town and surrounding villages.
