DESCRIPTION |
The distinctive brick and stone frontage of the Bull Hotel dates from 1658. An attractive patio courtyard was once the throughway for horse drawn coaches. The bar and lounges serve an exciting range of snacks and lightmeals whilst in the evening a fine selection of freshlyproduced meals are available from the extensive bistro menu. The Bull has 11 well appointed en suite rooms one with a four poster bed and a feature suite with Widescreen TV and DVD player. A fully equipped meeting room caters up to 40people. 10 miles from the magnificent Blenheim Palace Burford is one of the finest and most charming of Cotswolds towns with a wealth of antique shops.Oxford Warwick Castle and Cheltenham Race Course are all a short drive away the Cotswold Wildlife Park is within 5 minutes drive. Fishing golf and cycling are all available locally.The hotel has undergone an extensive refurbishment during Spring 2002 blending the contempory and the traditional to create a uniquly warm ambience.Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton stayed and dined here in 1802 on a visit to Oxford.The Restaurant is named after Him and the Trafalgia Suite is where the are belived to have stayed.

Burford is situated midway between Oxford Jcn.'s 8 or 9 of the M40 and Cheltenham Jcn.'s 10 11 or 11a of the M5 just off the A40.from the south M40 to Oxford and then West on the A40 to Cheltenham we are half way between Oxford and Cheltenham or if you are near Swindon come up the A361 past the Wildlife park to Burford. |
