It is a paradise for children with caves and rock pools where they can explore all day. To the right a short walk and visible from the hotel is 'Porth Beach' with its flat protected waters it is ideal for swimming and first attempts at surfing. To the left a short journey by car or pleasant walk is 'Watergate Bay' one of the surf centres of Europe with its golden sands and magnificent waves. You are spoilt for choice with beaches in Newquay there are still another six to be discovered more beaches than days in the week. Approaching Newquay on the A30 turn off right to RAF St. Mawgan continue on this road you will come to a roundabout go straight on towards Newquay. Continue on this road until you come to a junction take the right turning. Continue on this road until you come to a double roundabout take the 2nd exit on the 1st Roundabout sign posted to Porth. Go down a hill past the Beach on your left nearly all the way up the other side The Gull Rock is on the right look out for the pink 'Long Bar' sign on the front of the hotel.
