The restaurant at The Lamb Inn has already developed an excellent reputation for fine food and superb wines served in a convivial relaxed atmosphere. We can seat 30 people in the restaurant and a similar number at tables in the bar area.Our Head Chef and his team prepare our regularly changing menu of modern British and Mediterranean food in house using the very best local organic ingredients whenever possible.We always offer a selection of interesting vegetarian dishes which will have as much time effort and thought spent on them as other dishes on our menu.AccommodationThe five double guest rooms each with an individual en suite bathroom were created by interior designer Jean Harrod.All rooms are spacious and make for a really different experience.We have two rooms with very unusual four poster beds Leopard Hills and Spice Route perfect for your honeymoon or a romantic break away

How to find usYou'll find The Lamb Inn just off the A361 about four miles northeast of Burford about 23 miles from Oxford.Oxford airport is about 12 miles away and Charlbury rail station is only 8 miles away.How to get to The Lamb Inn from OxfordLeave Oxford on the A40 heading west towards Cheltenham. When you get to Burford turn right at the roundabout onto the A361 and drive down Burford High Street. At the bottom of the High Street there are traffic lights just before an old stone bridge over a stream. Cross the bridge and after about 50 yards the road forks at a mini roundabout. Take the right hand fork signposted A361 Chipping Norton and Banbury. After about four miles you enter the village of Shipton under Wychwood. You come to a 90 degree right hand bend followed almost immediately a 90 degree left hand bend. As you approach the 90 degree left hand bend you will see a sign for The Lamb Inn on the right hand side high on the facing wall. Turn right into Simon's Lane don't look for street sign there isn't one and then almost immediately left into our car park.How to get to The Lamb Inn from the M40 and BanburyIf you're coming from the northeast from the M40 and Banbury drive down the A361 and you'll find The Lamb Inn just off the A361 at the southern end of the village. As you come to the 90 degree bend you will see sign for The Lamb Inn. At night the sign will be well illuminated.
