DESCRIPTION |
The Mill Inn has recently undergone a major refurbishment. It dates back to the 16th century when it was a cloth mill. It is built by the side of a lock on the Lancaster Canal and is close to the charming fishing village of Glasson Dock. It is also only 10 mins drive from the historic city of Lancaster and is ideal for friends and family members visiting students at Lancaster University and St. Martins College. The Inn has 15 en suite bedrooms each with their unique decor reflecting the style and character of the original mill. Each room is comfortably furnished with remote control television hairdryers tea and coffee making facilities sky television video on demand and broadband access. Within the grounds there is an outdoor play area and there is lift access to all floors. The restaurant overlooks the canal and the new a la carte menu has a balance between fine cuisine and traditional favourites. On sunny days one can sit out and enjoy a meal or sip a glass of wine and watch the narrowboats as they pass by the beer garden. Flagstone floors and original beams make The Mill a warm and friendly place to relax and enjoy a wide range of traditional guest ales malt whiskies spirits and a large selection of wines by the glass.
