Thorpeness village was originally built in the early 1900s as a holiday spot for coloniels home on leave from the colonies and still retains the traditional seaside atmosphere.The beach is only a short walk way. A range of accommodation is available in comfortable hotel rooms en suite or self catering apartments and houses.Some hotel rooms overlook the woodland gardens and Meare made famous by the connection with J M Barrie who wrote Peter Pan. The hotel offers both rowing boat and cycle hire why not take one of our picnics with you for the day.
