DESCRIPTION |
Producing wine and olive oil since the 1800 s Quercia al Poggio once resembled a rural village consisting of six families and a total of fifty people working the gardens and fields. Without an efficient means of transportation Quercia al Poggio had to function as autonomously as possible producing wine and olive oil for sale as well as fare for the table such as fruit grains and vegetables. To sustain the farm and provide for its working families chickens ducks pigs goats and sheep were raised as well as horses to provide that extra muscle for farm work.
