The historical Palace Palazzo Galletti B B is located on Via S. Egidio a mere ten minute walk from the Duomo and the S. Croce Church. It is also in the proximity of the famous theatres La Pergola and Verdi.On entering the reception area on the first floor one is immediately plunged into a sensation of antiquity and freshness that mark this ambience as an unusual private living quarter.Recently restored this building has been a sleeping giant that has been newly awaken in all of its honour. Beautiful frescos have been found in these abandond walls brought to life with an entire school of restorers to allow our guests to taste and feel for themselves the beauty the centuries have left behind in this Palace.The young owners who run the B B have paid meticulous attention to details giving life to an unusual yet elegant blend of classical and ethnic styles. The nine beautiful and spacious rooms paved in original terra cotta tilings and painted frescos walls are named after the planets in the solar system and consequently the roman gods Mercury Venus Cerere identified with the Earth Mars Saturn Jupiter Neptune Uranus and Pluto. The furnishings chosen have made every room unique in its atmosphere. The Residenza d'Epoca Palazzo Galletti is situated in the heart of Florence's city centre 50 meters from the Piazza del Duomo and from the famous S.Croce church. From the railway station Santa Maria Novella By Taxi you can find a taxi stand in front of the railway station. It will take 3 minutes to arrive. By Bus the bus stops are in front of the railway station.All Buses that go to P.za S. Marco n. 17 11 10 6 .... are ok. Get off the Bus Via Martelli turn right on Via de Pucci than go streat ahead till Via S. Egidio after the Ospedale S. Maria Nuova you'll find us on the left at number 12.Or take the bus number 14 to the bus stop on Via del Proconsolo. Then turn back towards the Duomo and you will find Via dell'Oriuolo. At the end of the street turn left on Via S.Egidio. Walking Palazzo Galletti is situated about 15 minutes walk from S.M.Novella railway station. From the station walk in the direction of Piazza del Duomo along via Cerretani. Walk towards the Dome and you will find Via dell'Oriuolo and at the end of the street turn left on Via S.Egidio.
