In the middle of Tuscany amid hillside olive groves and chestnut woods enjoy panoramic views of the magnificent Arno valley at the historic country farm Morniano 20 km south of Florence Hwy exit Incisa Valdarno . Built of stone and ancient ceiling timbers the house contains a lovely 77 sq. Meter rental apartment that comfortably accomodates 2 4 people. Accessed by a private entryway the apartment was renovated 9 years ago but retains its historical characteristics. It contains a large eat in kitchen with a fireplace a bedroom with a double bed a living bedroom with 2 single beds and a bath. Facing south it is beautifully furnished with antique country furniture.The foundation of the house was built in the 12th century. The building was enlarged in the 17th century and completed in 1658. Historically Morniano was a place that offered hospitality for pilgrims on their way to Rome. The Tuscany farmhouse Morniano is located in an extremely panoramic area bordering Chianti and is at the centre of an artistic triangle which includes the cities of Florence Siena and Arezzo and the A1 highway exit is just 7 km away. The nearest town is Figline a lovely medieval town with its beautiful town square in the historical center.The world famous Chianti region with places such as Greve Gaiole and Castellina and its fine wines lies not far from our house.The Valdarno even if not so well known is rich of medieval villages like Loro Ciuffenna and Castelfranco and romanic churches. Vallombrosa and the park of the Casentinese Forest has to be mentioned for their amazing chestnut beech and pine forests an ideal place for trecking in the Apennines.
