This family run hotel is situated four miles from Dumfries and eight miles from the M A74 main North South trunk road at Lockerbie. The Hotel can boast both superb menus in the bar and the restaurant both at affordable prices.Food is available in both the bar and restaurant seven days a week with the bar offering food all day Saturday and Sunday. All the rooms are en suite and carry many of the little extras.As well as a friendly village bar there is also a coffee lounge and spacious restaurant.Exterally there is also a childrens play area and a beer garden and parking is no problem either with the hotel having its own large car park. LOCATION |
From the NORTH or SOUTH follow the main M74 Motorway to Junction 17 18 at Lockerbie and take the A709 Dumfries sign. Follow this road through Lochmaben and when you reach the village of Torthorwald the hotel is on the left hand side on the corner. You will see the flags flying.If travelling from Stranraer then follow the A75 until you reach the A709 Lockerbie sign on the Dumfries bypass. We are approximately two miles on the Right Hand side. |
