Dreyfus House is owned and operated by members of the family who built the raised Louisiana cottage along the banks of Bayou Grosse Tete in 1850. Close by are antebellum homes antiques shopping riverboat gambling casinos water recreational activities such boating fishing.Dreyfus House specialzes in comfort and the indulgences of its guests. A full breakfast or a lighter continental breakfast if you desire it is served each morning either on our galleried dining area or on our patio weather permitting. In addition to lodging Dreyfus House is available for catered weddings parties meetings.We meet all Louisiana Bed Breakfast Association standards.

From Baton Rouge or New Orleans.... drive west on I 10 over the Mississippi River bridge at Baton Rouge to the LA 415 exit. Take that exit north about 3 miles to US Highway 190 west. Drive 25 miles west on US 190 to the 3rd traffic light. Turn north or left onto LA 77 South 3 10 of a mile. Dreyfus House will be on your right. From Lafayette take I 49 north to Opelousas and US Highway 190 east. Drive east 32 miles to the 2nd traffic light. Turn north which will be to your right onto La highway 77 South 3 10 of a mile. Dreyfus House will be on your right. From Alexandria take I49 south to Opelousas 49 miles and turn onto US 190 east. From this point drive east 32 miles to the 2nd traffic light where you turn onto La Highway 77 South or right for 3 10 mile. Dreyfus House will be on your right. |
