Part of the hotel dates back to the 15th Century. At the turn of the 19th Century the hoetl had an attractive face lift of local granite and Ruabon brick and is now one of Conwy's most photographed buildings. The hotel has 28 bedrooms and suites including the Wynn Suite with a very grand ornately carved four poster bed dated 1570. The menu in Shakespeare's takes inspiration from bygone days but given a modern interpretation. Dawsons Bar cuisine serves a cafe bar style menu with something to suit all tastes. LOCATION |
Conwy is on the A55 expressway from Chester to Holyhead off Junction 18 when travelling west and J17 eastbound. Follow signs for Conwy using the medievel castle as your landmark. Conwy has narrow streets and so uses a one way traffic management system stay on the one way system in a clockwise direction effectively circumnavigating the town walls. This will bring you parallel with the estuary and quay travelling along Berry street. The view of the Castle is directly ahead. Just before a light controlled pedesrian crossing turn right up High Street the hotel dominates the street on the left |
